Breeding Sheep Unit 3 (14-18) Seniors Project

This project is for member’s ages 14-18 years old. This project is designed for those members who want to learn more about the sheep industry by starting his/her own flock. Members will accomplish the following learning experiences:

  • Gain leadership skills by helping others learn about sheep
  • Explore career opportunities in the sheep industry
  • Learn more about reproduction and genetics
  • Investigate technology’s impact on beef production
  • Exhibit animal on tour, achievement day or at a fair
  • Purchase, feed, and care for animals
  • Evaluate project with leader
