Fowl-Geese

This project is for member’s ages 8-18 years old.  This project is designed for those members who want to learn more about raising geese.  Members will accomplish the following learning experiences:

  • Develop leadership, initiative, self-reliance and sportsmanship
  • Learn the origins of geese
  • Learn the categories of Waterfowl
  • Learn how to select your bird
  • Learn how to buy a waterfowl
  • Learn about the feeding and nutrition of geese
  • Learn about care and maintenance of geese
  • Learn how to prepare your bird for show
  • Exhibit animal on tour, achievement day or at the county fair

Step 4:
The items listed below are your project requirements.  Select each in turn to access a Word Document. Once you have your document, please save it to your hard drive or other media before entering information.  Remember that you will need to fill out Colorado’s Livestock/Horse E-record.  Do not use the record included in the manual –Duck or Goose –Project and Record Book.
