E-Supplements

The final E-Supplements will be available on the website soon. Please make sure that all of your members and leaders are aware of these records. Just a couple of clarifications: the Creative Clothing E-Supplement is for Decorate Your Duds, Creative Clothing and Style of Your Own - there are certain questions that need to be answered for each of these areas. Clothing Construction E-Supplement is for Units 1-4 and 21-28. Sewing for Others and Recycled Clothing each have their own supplement. Please look over these E-Supplements carefully. Please call me (970.491.7883) if you have any questions concerning the E-Supplements. — Connie Cecil

Horseless Horse Project

The Horseless Horse Project is finally complete and will now be offered as a state project. The Horseless Horse Project contains four units: A1565 - Unit 1— Making Horse Sense, A1566 - Unit 2 — Hooves, Health & Horsemanship, A1567- Unit 3 — Breaking Ground, and A1568 - Unit 4 — Brushing Up on Horses. The Colorado 4-H Horse Manual is required for all of the units. The 4-H Horse Judging Guide is required for Unit 3. This project is great for 4-H members who love horses but do not have the availability or capacity to have one or for those that are looking to purchase a horse.

These units will be posted on the website but for now they have been sent out to all the counties via email.

The state fair exhibit requirements are as follows:

A. Completed Horseless Horse Unit Manual along with the 4-H Project E-Record secured in a sturdy binder.
B. A showboard illustrating an investigated topic during the project year.

The Horse Committee and graduate students have worked hard to make this happen. My thanks goes out to all of those who have had a hand in accomplishing this task. — Connie Cecil

Would any of you be interested in additional delegates if we could get financial support? — Dale Leidheiser
