American Income Life Insurance Update

American Income Life (AIL) has been a medical insurance provider for short- and long-term needs that we have in 4-H Youth Development programs. They allow us to do this without having to pay the premium up front. Most of the time county offices and volunteers pay the premiums within a reasonable amount of time. However, AIL has been experiencing greater levels of non-payment of premiums in the past year. American Income Life is requesting that we all try to improve the methods of payment by:

  • mailing it immediately after the insured activity is over
  • don't wait to receive a past due notice
  • review files for unpaid coverage, and
  • if you have a good system, keep it!

They believe that most instances of non-payment are honest oversights. Let's try to eliminate future problems. Thanks. — Dale Leidheiser
