Each county will receive a large white envelope with the 2005 Arbor Day National Poster Contest Activities Guide through Friday Mail. This packet has already gone to schools around Colorado. The activities are aligned with the national standards for science and social studies, and teachers have said the guide is easy to follow and students stay interested and focused. 4-H agents and agents in single-agent counties may find this a convenient opportunity to contact 5th grade teachers in the community and explore partnering in the Arbor Day Poster Contest.
